I've got a 2019 Forester Limited with around 52K miles, and lately the head unit has been glitching. Sometimes it randomly loses audio or the screen dims for no reason. :( Whenever I restart, it resets okay, but it's still time consuming and annoying. I mentioned it at my last service, but the dealer said the extended warranty (Gold Plus, 7yr/100K) won't cover this. I don't understand why. Now I wonder if it's worth keeping the car much longer with that kind of support. I'm pissed and don't know what to do.

Might want to double check if this is something that the extended warranty would cover, as in check the terms. The dealer might try to try and stretch this out untill the warranty is over.

As for the glitches, are there any updates or did you do some updates that could cause this?

Extended warranties often sell peace of mind but deliver frustration when it matters. If a dealer's dodging responsibility over a known issue at just 52K miles, that's not support, it's daylight robbery masked as policy fine print!!!

Couldn't agree more. Warranties sound nice until they ghost you when stuff actually breaks. Ah... isn't there a law against that? Protecting consumers what???
